  • 1 unit, hard cover note book (For ideas)

One Step Ahead - The Thirty Days Challenge

Hello,

I want to thank you all for your precious support!

Today have advanced one more step, after googling and asking questions i found a book that seems to fit my current learning needs. It's called Programming in Objective-C. As stated on amazon description "The book makes no assumption about prior experience with object-oriented programming languages or with the C language. And because of this, both novice and experienced programmers alike can use this book to quickly and effectively learn the fundamentals of Objective-C". The Author of the book is Stephen Kochan. I feel confident with this book, because he is author and co-author of several bestselling books on other languages, also because he has the reputation for easy-to-follow writing.

Shipping and handling with inter country taxes the book cost 73$. I have choose the US version because its the latest errata printed copy. Regrettable the Canadian version was cheaper but not the latest :-(

Received many suggestions and will work on all of them, Will start french video version to open the doors to more audience, i may do a Portuguese version to.

Need to wait receiving the book to get organized on how to template the book in 30 days phases for an effective learning schedule. I have to create day schedule and follow that model every day. I need some suggestions if any of you is a teacher or a current successful student.

Now here is what i currently thinking for the route of things:
  • Learn Objective-C, comprehend and exercise
  • Read Apple documentations
  • Sketch the first application on paper
  • Start coding the application
  • Complete application and beta testing (Promotion codes will be released for beta testers)
  • Fine-tuning for publishing
  • Create a publisher name and logo
  • Publish the application (If possible will be free - donation supported )
  • This will be the time to talk deeply on the main core features, functions and what purpose

Once available on Apple AppStore, will open discussion on possible business model and investors. Here I think we will have a lot of fun :-) Hopefully we will see the future through a new fenestral.

In visual-perspective I'm not yet an egg "may well look like one :-)" after comprehended the book an egg will be born then again i have to work hard to hatch :-)

If you have any constructive criticisms or helpful suggestions that will help, please feel free to post.

Welcome - The Thirty Days Challenge

Hi everyone,

I have set myself the challenge of making a complete commercial quality iPhone app/game in multi phases. Once its completed it will be submitted to Apple AppStore.

I have no programming knowledge, no art course or any kind of experience on any of the subject to develop an iPhone application. Thats why i call this a challenge.

I hope to document exactly what i will do and how things progress on each 30 days phases on this blog with video posting as often as possible. If any of you is thinking one day, learning and making an iPhone application or game from scratch, then this blog should be the right place to start. Because i will try to document the progress and keep the blog informative as such it can be followed as a future model.

Before i start, let me tell you that I'm unemployed at this time. Economy crisis is hard for unemployed people, because hiring at the moment is avoided, instead laying-off is the course of action to survive the crisis. As you can understand, this is the most worst time ever to lose a job, because to find a new one, its like winning lottery!

I have setup a official paypal donation button on the blog (just at your right) for this challenge. I hope and appreciate that you donate something, anything, because i have no revenue or any kind... nada!!! You can help today by donating because you are helping a real person in real life. (For the donors, i will work on a special greeting place on each application created trough this blog - I'm open to suggestions)

This is going to be fun, because fun is important for creativity and fundamental for learning. I already have a few ideas for a virtual reality app, one 3D game and one killer application. I want to start first coding the application before the games.

Time to get set up… Please see the video below.

If you have any constructive criticisms or helpful suggestions that will help, please feel free to post.
